As a data analyst in the Finance Data Project you are trusted with providing information taken from the data lake in accordance with the project’s needs and to the standards set by your peers and the business side. We keep in touch with multiple teams which raise various data requirements for their web applications or business intelligence tools. As part of our daily work we are required to understand the financial and business side of the information we handle. A high degree of autonomy and self-organization is of utmost importance. This position requires prior experience of at least 5 years, ideally in a challenging technological environment.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with architects and business analysts in analyzing data from operational systems or the data lake
Build the target analytical model and validate it with the data engineers
Assimilate the big data technologies and manage common changes of the data integrations
Document the technical steps taken
Data exploration and ad-hoc analysis, for specific needs
Push for new approaches which increase the efficiency of the team

Concepts in order of importance:

git (GitLab, IntelliJ), Hadoop (Hue, Hive), SQL (high experience needed)
Master data management (MDM) knowledge
Data exploration and visualization tools (Spotfire preferably, but the knowledge of other tools of type SAP BI, Tableau or QlikView/QlikSense is acceptable)

Experience working with warehouse data:

R or Python, statistical methodologies
General knowledge of cloud environment, especially Google Cloud Platform
Agile project management, especially Scrum and/or Kanban

Office Location: Bucharest, Romania
Language(s): Proficient in English, French would be an advantage
Education: Degree in Economics/Finance, Computer Science, Data Engineering with economic background
