Crystal is looking for and hiring a Platform Engineer for Data & Analytics in Monterrey.

Core Activities / Responsibilities of the Position: Platform Engineer for Data & Analytics

  • Continuous Delivery and Integration (CD/CI) and Automation activities in the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) following strict guidelines and playbooks.
  • Senior Expert in Data and Analytics technology platform elements that support end to end Continuous Delivery and Integration.
  • Is platform and framework enthusiastic in all his activities
  • Develops Proofs of Quality, MVPs, pilots for new DevOps and CD/CI features on EDP tooling
  • Responsible to publicize accurate and complete guardrails and playbooks
  • Experienced in delivering data project in huge corporations using DevOps and CD/CI
  • Focus on continuous improvement of EDP
  • Innovative mindset to generate and implement new improvements on the EDP
  • Obsessed using DevOps and CD/CI to push EDP performance, resilience and cost effectiveness
  • Act as subject matter expert for Data & Analytics platform technology discussions within the corporation.

Mandatory Requirements / Experiences:
The ideal “Platform Engineer – Data & Analytics” shall have:

  • 5+ years of experience as Senior DevOps engineer
  • Proven track record in creation and delivery of automated solutions
  • Comfortable to work with huge data record volumes and globally distributed teams
  • Familiar and experienced to apply DevOps on Data & Analytics on Enterprise Data Platforms
  • Candidate is expected to have read and fully understood The DevOps Handbook
  • Senior Expert in using scripting languages like Phyton, R, PowerShell etc.)
  • Senior Expert in MS Azure Cloud DevOps pipelines, repositories etc.
  • Senior Expert in advanced monitoring and notification technologies and platforms like Datadog, StackState etc.
  • Experienced in working in large, complex global operating corporations
  • Experienced in working managing and evolving cloud architectures
  • Proven expertise in the most actual relational database engines like Snowflake, SQL Managed Instances, SQL Server Hyperscale etc.
  • Proven expertise in the most actual ingestion and ETL technologies and tools like WhereScape, Azure Data Factory, Talend etc.
  • Strong communication and consulting skill to interact with global distributed lean and agile DevOps teams

What would be an advantage?

  • MS Azure Cloud Certification
  • SAFe* 5.0 Lean-Agile / DevOps Certification
  • Experience in programming languages applied to analytics (e.g. SQL, SnowSQL)

Location:

  • The office location will be in the vibrant city of Monterrey / Mexico Due to Covid impacts other locations and/or home office could be considered as option
  • Knowledge transfer shall happen in Monterrey by our Senior Experts and Client Delivery Manager
  • Ability to travel within Europe and Globally are mandatory ca. 20%
  • Spanish and fluent in English are the mandatory language requirements
